Vice President - Interior Designer

Patrick had an early interest in art and antiques. By the age of ten he was reading Antiques Magazine and frequenting antique shops and art galleries. He has been collecting ever since.

His interest led him to pursue Art and Art History studies at college. Patrick holds a degree in Art History from Indiana University and pursued graduate work there as well. He studied Art History in Italy and set design under Mario Christini designer for La Scala in Milan and the Metropolitan Opera. Even today, Patrick has continued his education of art and interior design through world travel and visiting the great museums, palaces and homes of Europe.

Prior to joining Bittners in June 2002, Patrick was vice president and partner at Allen House. He joined Allen House in 1973 after teaching art in high school. He became vice president in 1976. He co-founded Cherry + Welsh, Inc. in 1981. In 1986, he returned to Allen House where he was named vice president and partner

He has given his time and talent to many community projects. The Louisville Zoo has been one of his favorites. Patrick has been chairmen of the Zoofari fundraiser twice and had designed benefit functions for both the Louisville Orchestra and the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts. He has participated in the ASID Junior League Showhouse, The Bellarmine Showhouse and has opened his own home to benefit tours. Additionally, he has been on the board of directors of the Historic Homes Foundation.

Patrick does a large amount of interior design work out-of-state as well. He has worked in New York, California, Tennessee, Texas, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Indiana and Massachusetts. His designs have been featured on The Lynette Jennings Show and in Southern Accents, Builder and Architecture Magazine, Louisville Magazine and The Courier-Journal.
