A native of Louisville, Betsy participated in several apprenticeship programs and, in 1977, earned a B.S. degree in interior design from the University of Kentucky. She worked as an interior designer for London House for 13 years before joining Bittners as a senior designer, vice president and buyer.
Betsy specializes in classic, sophisticated, "stylishly timeless" design. She uses interesting combinations of color, patterns and textures, and makes generous use of English and Country French antiques.
The winner of several showhouse awards, Betsy has completed major interior projects in Ohio, Tennessee, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Commercial clients have included the Brown Todd & Heyburn law firm, Louisville Country Club, Louisville Gas & Electric Company, and N.P. Energy, in addition to numerous residential clients. Her work has been featured in Metropolitan Home, Southern Living, The Courier-Journal, and Louisville Magazine.
Bittners is proud of Betsy's latest honor. She was selected Today's Woman, "Most Admired Woman Home & Homestyle 2003".
