Executive Vice President - Interior Designer

A graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts degree and advanced studies in design work completed at the Art Institute of Chicago, Ben began his career working in antique sales with Gordon Cayce Inc., Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He then served as Assistant Home Furnishings Fashion Coordinator for Shillito's before joining Bittners in 1969.

He has completed award winning design projects in Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, and Kentucky.

Ben's work has included several clubs and historic buildings in Kentucky including the following: Pendennis Club, Harmony Landing Country Club, Louisville Country Club, Louisville Boat Club, Audubon Country Club, Kentucky Governor's Mansion and the Whitehall Historic Home.

His work has also extended beyond private homes and buildings to public buildings and universities. Public projects include the Fund for the Arts Building; Kentucky Center for the Arts, conference room (Mary Anderson Room); Kentucky Bar Association and the Terminal Renovation, Louisville International Airport. University projects include the Trustees Room, President's Office and Conference Room at the University of Louisville; the President's House at Center College, the President's House at the University of Louisville; the Athletic Department Offices at Florida Atlantic University and the Men's Basketball Offices at the University of Louisville.

Over the years, Ben has also enjoyed working with business and corporations on individual projects such as the Corporate Suites at the University of Louisville football stadium; the Executive and Corporate offices of Tramont Corporation and the Conference Center and Executive Offices of Makers Mark Distillery.

Ben serves on the boards of Whitehall Historic Home, Louisville Theatrical Association and Louisville Deaf Oral School and has served on the board of the Louisville Ballet. He is listed is Who's Who in Interior Design; his projects have been published in Southern Accents, Southern Living, Louisville Magazine, Entrée', Today's Woman, Louisville Courier Journal and aired on Homes Across America.
