Kent Shaw

Vice President - Senior Interior Designer

Kent Shaw has brought to Bittners a unique combination of creative talent and management expertise. An acclaimed interior designer, Kent also spent twelve years serving as president for Brownstone Interiors, Inc. before joining Bittners in 1998. He was recruited to help the 150 year-old Louisville based company and create a presence in the Cincinnati design market.

Kent's business acumen was developed early on as an undergraduate at Wittenberg University and continued with graduate work at Xavier University. Upon beginning his career as an interior designer, he refined his interest in design with course work at the University of Cincinnati.

The breadth of Kent's talent, in both interior and exterior design, is reflected in various projects and awards. He has been featured in several Cincinnati periodicals, such as The Cincinnati Enquirer, Cincinnati Magazine, Eastword Magazine, Word Magazine, Design Magazine, and Inspire Magazine. His work has also been highlighted in the Cincinnati Flower and Garden Show where he earned a gold medal in the Inspired Interiors Competition. In 2003 he was a winner in the first annual Cincinnati Magazine Interior Design Awards Competition with his submission of a 1920's Mediterranean Inspired Hyde Park home in the "Residence Over 3,500 Square Feet" category. Some other notable projects include European-inspired residential work in Dallas, Texas and participation in the 2001 Cincinnati Ballet Designer Show House at the Bishop's Place Mansion in Clifton. Additional projects include design work in Kentucky, Indiana, New York, New Jersey and Florida.
