Claire has been with Bittners for over 20 years and has worked in several capacities, starting as a part-time marketing director to her current job as Chief Executive Officer. As CEO, Claire oversees the company finances, banking, legal issues, external affairs and marketing.
Claire's serves on a number of community boards. Her community service has been focused on education and seeing that Louisville continues to service the demanding needs of all children. She is a member of the Jefferson County Public School Foundation Board and works as a member of the Every One Reads program, an initiative to set forth to have every child read at grade level. She is on the Trinity High School Board and served as a trustee for Bellarmine University for three years. Claire is a member of the University of Louisville Board of Overseers. She served on the Greater Louisville Inc. Executive Board from 2004 to 2006, continues to be active on the general board and is on the Business and Economic Legislative Agenda Task force. Claire was a 2004 Leadership Louisville graduate and was in the 2005 Bingham Fellows class which developed a new dynamic for developing leadership in Louisville. Claire is a member of the Rotary Club of Louisville. She was also instrumental in developing the nationally-recognized and highly successful annual lectureship and symposium, Design on the Edge, a collaborative effort between Bittners and University of Kentucky to promote and strengthen the field of interior design nationwide.
Prior to joining Bittners, she worked in Washington, D.C. for Senator Walter D. Huddleston and for the law firm of Seifman, Semo, Slevin & Marcus as their director of marketing.
She is a 1980 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B.A degree in telecommunications.
